Queen Elizabeth National Park has Biosphere Reserve status awarded by UNESCO.
Conservation area:- 2500sq km(reserves inclusive) and incorporates a Ramsar Wetlands Conference designated site at Lake George.
Key species:- Martial eagles, African skimmers, Lesser flamingoes, Verreauxs eagle owl, Papyrus gonolek, Caruthers cisticola etc.
