Lake Mburo National Park
 
 

This is Uganda’s smallest savanna park covering an area of 260sq km and is home to many zebras. It has got a mosaic habitat of rock outcrops, dry hillside, open and wooded savanna, forests, galleries, swamps etc. The above habitats harbor a variety of fauna and flora. The park has 5 different lakes with Lake Mburo in the centre.

   
 
Lake Mburo National Park has 68 mammals, the common ones are:- zebras, impalas,(not found anywhere else in Uganda) water buck, hippos, buffaloes and topis. The park's rare sightings are the roan antelope, reedbucks and eland (the largest antelope in the park). A variety of habitats have contributed to the avifauna diversity and 313 bird species have been recorded in the park. Of these the following are of conservation importance:-Papyrus warbler, White winged warbler, African fin foot, Brown chested plover and Red-faced barbet.
 
TOURS
We offer a three day tour of Lake Mburo National Park

Day One
Drive to Lake Mburo, stopover at the Equator for pictures and lunch, proceed to the park, check in and take an afternoon game drive. Return to the luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Two
Take a nature walk to the hyena den and other areas of interest to see animals, birds and scenic views .Back in time for breakfast. After lunch take a boat trip on Lake Mburo to see scores of hippos, buffaloes and bird life. Back to the tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Three
Take a morning game drive, have breakfast before returning either to Entebbe or Kampala.
